The author grew up in Nashville, Tennessee. He taught three years there after graduating from college before moving to Columbus to continue a teaching career and pursue a graduate degree from The Ohio State University.

The pride of his life is not professional or academic success, but four wonderful children who always show a heart-felt concern for others.

He said, “What I have achieved has been a gift from God and not of my great ability or wisdom.”
